I know a good place for massive camponotus in San Jose. It also has V. Andrei, maybe we can work something out for next weekend.
Well, my schedules during the weekend are mostly free, depends on what you guys might have.

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Irving and live in San Jose. A couple of you guys have helped me identify some ants and given good advice on keeping them. Thank you! Would love to meet up if you guys go anting. Cheers.

My friend in Redwood Shores just found a nuptial flight and he caught 7 queens in his backyard. I have no clue what they are based on the video he sent me, but atleast we know queens are flying today.
Wow, nice!

I didn't see much today to be honest. Although when I came home, I found that apparently several matured Tetramorium Immigrans colonies had sprouted out of nowhere. I think they might have gotten dehydrated or something and all moved, but it's hard to tell.

Saw some 0.7-0.8mm alates (apparently all queens) crawling out somewhere. Didn't have time to check what species, but I wish I could have followed them. (This was early in the morning)\
Edit: 7 or 8mm
