Underneath the swarms of argies you can find some species if you look hard enough, as I have 9 different species living on my urban property and I'm in the middle of the Willow Glen area

yeah i supprisingly have found neivamyrmex on trail 7 miles in and the trail a mile walk from my house

Does anyone else experience the thing where there is only Argentines in the area? Besides the rare tetramorium worker, there is only argentines in my area unless you go on a deep hike  %)

where in the bay you live? in my neighber hood there ar tetra argies and lios. And more spp on deep hikes aswell but usually if there's like a big forest type park youll find more spp there.

Wow really? In my concrete jungle Of contra costa, there's reptiles and inverts aplenty but limited ants :(

What time of day do Formica fly? And what are the temperature conditions? Specifically moki, but Formica in general would be fine too. I wanna get my cousin to catch some for me in the next couple of days, since I can't really go anting during weekdays because of school.

I don't live anywhere near Formica lol. The only spot I've found them so far is in Pleasanton anyway, so I can't really see myself anting around there in the morning then get to school in time. Night anting would be easier for me, since it's after school and I have time to finish homework (assuming my parents even let me go at night in the first place).
