Do you know where you went cause I have to go to Santa Cruz next week anyways. Any information would be helpful.

Looks more like veromessor, but sub. and rug. are also around here. Rugosus is a pain to find though cause you have to go to the mountains and high elevations like veromessor.

Lol yeah. It is said that they require cold temperatures for a few weeks for the queen to start laying her first batch of eggs.
