Guess what flew in Marin today! Prenolepis imparis!
Guess who had school today! Me!
Know what's more depressing? Males dying by my house!

True for me too. Winter ants didn’t fly, but Camponotus might fly Thursday, where I live, and guess what!!
I have SCHOOL!!!
Hopefully my parents will let me take a night walk.

I feel like Prenolepis is done flying now the last major flight they had was way back in January in San Jose. Camponotus on the other hand should be flying very soon if it does reach the 70s.
Around what time of day do local Camponotus fly?
I would say around sunset.

Yes they're flying still small flights wait till weekend for big flights
They're flying again today here in San Carlos. I caught one in the process of mating while walking home but since I had no test tubes I had to carry it by the wings.
