in that case....anyone selling Novomessor Cockerelli in the bay area?
also are pogonomyrmex barbatus found around here? They seem like they might be fun too....basically just looking for a very large, active, diurnal harvester ant that doesnt hibernate.

I live nowhere near Mt. Diablo or Hollister, both are where they live . Parents already drove me to Mt. Diablo Friday so can't catch any. If you catch a lot, I'll trade you myrmentoma Camponotus queens, that aren't hyatti. Oh and by the way, I caught a hyatti queen!!!!Ya boy just caught a Dorymyrmex bicolor queen. Actually I’m not even in the Bay Area right now I’m in Manteca which is in central California but I heard they are flying at Mount Diablo.
All harvester ants around here will hibernate, you will have to go to southern California to get some that don't unfortunately. We do have Pogonomyrmex subdentatus, in Hollister and Black Diamond Mines parkin that case....anyone selling Novomessor Cockerelli in the bay area?

What are the chances of letting the ants come to me if I walk around with a blacklight?
