Can you post some additional shots of the yogi?

Yeah I think these should be reclassified to Colobopsis yogi.

I hope that anyone finding this species will consider making sure that any dead specimens get donated to an appropriate museum collection as there are not a huge number of specimens in collections esp from locations other than those already known.

Do you feel like you got the confirmation? Was this a Yogi? Also I'd love an update on how she did!

if a subspecies of this is ever found it seriously needs to be named yogi boobooi

Colony is still alive! This year, the queen decide to lay a ton of eggs. They are slow growing for sure though.
They may have decided to change this to Colobopsis yogi

Oh they did change it. Why don't they just change all the phragmotic camponotus?

They're doing great. Growth is steady but strong. They aren't being heated right now and have them in a cold corner of the room.

They are in 20mm tubes.
Pics as requested, note only the queen and majors have truncated heads.

What is the approximate head width of the queen, measured at the occipital corners?

Warmed up twice this month on separate occasions, so headed to the same spot I found the original yogi and found a total of 8 dealates. Three on the first trip and then another five last night. Checked all their heads, just to be sure none were Clarithorax evictions, and every single one are Yogis.
They aren’t easy to find. Searched from 7p-11:30p last night and only found five. None have laid, and will most likely overwinter and start in the Spring. They hide in the nooks and crannies of anything they can find, and appear come out to look for a better spot when it warms up. This is probably how I found the original Yogi in January. According to Snelling, they fly in October, which matches up when these were found.
