Test tube slivers

Well since I am to dumb to figure out how to post a pic here. I posted it in the gallery under test. I sort of stumbled on this by accident. Basically it's a REMOVABLE hydrostone sliver that goes in your test tube. It may serve 2 functions. First some species of ants hate the smooth glass bottoms of test tubes. Second it will ease the transition from tube to nest if your planning on using hydrostone. Also.you could sand coat, or vermiculite coat it as well. I have not tried this myself as I just stumbled across the idea. The pics are in the gallery if interested
Also it doesn't have to be hydrostone. It could be plaster or even grout if that's what the final nest will be made of. So what's you think? All comments welcome thanks

I use fine quartz sand. Serves the same function.
