Now, idk if this should have gone in the business section, but damn it,I'm going crazy over here! So last Christmas I was looking at buying an antkit starter kit for my l.flavus colony. They were out of stock at the time so I emailed about availability and I was informed that they'd be back in the new year. Fine right? No hurry. Dw. Except, come the new year, the antkit website doesn't appear to be selling any more, and having looked at their "resellers" the eden edition starter kit is nowhere to be found!? What weirder is that I've had no email responses from antkit And I can't find any threads anywhere explaining this sudden shift? Any help definitely appreciated. Thanks.

Moved it to off topic. However, yeah. They seemingly have just shut down operation. I guess no one really knows what's up, but you still have other options out there. No need for antkit.

Either they just don't have the customers, or they don't want to do it anymore. Antkeeping is pretty niche, and you are almost always gonna be in the shadow of the one or two bigger "Formicarium Suppliers"  out there.

They're up again. Currently you can only buy the Anthome and the Size 2 nests (probably they are restocking the rest, also new outworlds are supposed to come soon) but the shop is open again. They might have been on vacation and just chosen a really really bad wording for the vacation message.

Just as I thought, the shop is back online and already has the size 8 nests available again. The outworlds aren't there yet (as much of the accessories) but they have been announced for January and Ytong/glass formicaria have been announced for April. Antkit needs to work on their communications a bit.
