1. Location (on a map) of collection:  Near Sydney, NSW, Australia
2. Date of collection:  24 November 2017 ~ 5pm
3. Habitat of collection:  In a park on the edge of a small cluster of trees. Running along the dirt.
4. Length (from head to gaster): 13mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture:  Very uniform black colouring. Light brown colouring between gaster "plates". Light brown "feet"
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Light brown hairs on gaster, mesosoma and head. Petiole spike. Ocelli present?
7. Distinguishing behavior: None
8. Nest description: Only saw banded sugar ant nests nearby, not this species.

9. Nuptial flight time and date: I only saw two alates with wings, rest were dealates. I assume it happened some time during that day.

Thanks for the replies, I was also thinking Camponotus so it's nice to see I'm not alone :)

So I have one queen left of this species and she has her first workers. The gold butts suggest Camponotus Aeneopilosus.
