I am so happy guys and girls! first I found that my tarsata colony has produced male alates. I then found that my mealworm culture has beetles. after these joys I found male alates in my brevinoda colony too!

 

 my captive breeding dreams are closer to coming true.

Those species don't mate within the colony do they? 

 

Either way, congrats. My colony of 5 ants had a male alate too

Thanks mate. I don't think they inbreed like that. But i have three colonies of brevinoda and 1 of tarsata. I have an agreement with my mate who has 2 tarsata colonies for an alate swap.
