How many collection vials do you, my fellow ant keepers, usually take with you on collection trips?   I have only heard people say to take lots of vials but never a specific number. I know not all queens survive so i need to collect a few.

Depends on what your doing, just want them for yourself? Then 5-10 should definetly be sufficient. If you plan on selling or doing some form of experimentation then really as many as you can carry comfortably. I generally take 30 if I go anywhere to look.

Haha. Love that movie.

I bring 200 cosmetic containers, but it doesn't meant 200 are collected. Usually it is way less.

But gotta come prepared! Just in case we see a bajillion Dorymyrmex or Solenopsis take flight that night. That would be total hotsauce jackpot.

I don't know what I would even do with that many ants! Are you building an ant empire?
