Hi there. I have been lurking for a few days. I don't have any ants as of yet. I plan on harvesting a few queens this season. I actually decided to join here after finding the years first ants in my yard mucking around. I have seen them before but thanks to Ants Canada on Youtube, I have come to really adore "my" wild ants. I'm seeing soooooo much just in my yard here in AZ, and today I found signs of a species I have been interested in since I was a child and had no clue they were even in my state let alone possibly in my yard. I believe it is an Odontomachus sp.(now to find them alive) In my poking around, I found the're discarded remains near a nest of interest (my reason for being here) along with a possible dead queen of a golden colored species.
Well, thank you for having me here.
I'll see you around the forums.
