Hello, I checked up on one of my terrariums a few days ago. I was taking a look and found some moths had spun their cocoons, the slugs where eating all my vegetation, but here was something I found interesting. Somehow aphids had gotten in there and my Prenolepis imparis were farming them. There was two workers at first, but the first few pictures that they both where in stunk. Anyways..... (sorry, them where the best pictures I could get)

If you people want, i will take some pictures of the slugs eating plants and the coccoons.

(figured no one would care)

This is very common especially when keeping ants aphids have wings so they fly to a suitable home mostly when their plants are overpopulated only adults can fly and there is theory that aphids are attracted to certain pheromones produced buy ants in their area. It looks like a pregnant female aphid flew and the smaller aphids are juveniles.

@T.C.  Do you have any shots of the full terrarium? I'd love to see it.  Thanks!

Is Prenolepis a good species for a terrarium? If so, what size should it be? I'm looking into making a terrarium.

@noebl1 Here is an older video. It's more grown in now but gives you the general idea.

Wow! Great job on that!  It looks like you took a shovel to actual portion of woods and brought inside.  More than natural looking than most I've seen.
