Did you ever end up getting her to eat? I recently caught one of these queens and was wondering what to feed her once she gets a worker. I fed her a drop of honey right when I caught her and she drank it right up but am not sure what protein sources she would like. She has already got an egg so please help.

Ants generally like a variety of food. If you give them the same food over and over again, they're less likely to accept it. Look up the foods they prefer too: perhaps they don't like the food your giving them.

EDIT:I only got to the first page and thought that was all that was there. Sorry about you queen. I have a similar story where a queen ant flew right into my house! Now, there was a problem with her. She stuck to EVERYTHING! She died because she couldn't even sit up without falling on her back. In the end, I just left her a little strawberry and let her die. R.I.P Queen Honey
