I live in northern california area and have an interest in keeping a Velvetey Tree ant colony. What are the best places to search and do they have multiple queens? Or should i wait until a nuptial flight season, and if so when are they ussually in season. Also any information in the preffered caring of this species that differs from general wood ant keeping would be great.
