So Camponotus flights are beginning in Australia in the next month or two. And some colonies have been flying already! (I caught x6 C.Lownei queens a week and a half ago).
However, knowing that they are night flyers I have been recommended using lights to catch them more efficiently (compared to looking under street lights, or stumbling around blindly).
I've been told blacklights work best, I've been told other types of lights aswell. So, please comment on which light works best, or works best for you. Also any strategies for catching them. As I've never tried it before. Thanks
