So a bit after i gave them their first meal in a while it seems like they moved some of the larvae and eggs near the garbage dumping (if its garbage indeed)

Is that normal?

The hairy thing is probably a spiders leg.

it seems tehy moved them away. I'm not quite sure what's this gelatinus material is.

also, their watter supply is empty yet the won't accept the new test tube. i don't know why

Ants will throw out their dead brood. They also move their brood into dryer areas if stressed.

that sounds like a nice idea, but I've decided to just create a formicarium for  them. I'm guessing ill have atleast 15 workers by the time its done. so I've provided them with another water source.

eventually they will need a hydrated place to keep the brood, so I'm counting on scouting expeditions to eventually find the second test tube.
