What I mean is is it legal to move or transport and ant colony with a reproductive from one part/county/borough/ etc. To another county/borough/etc. in the same state.

Proverbs 6:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
    consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
    no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
    and gathers its food at harvest.

Yes, as long as they stay within the state.

Hmm but is it safe to do it county to county? Sorry if I seem like I'm nagging but for antkeeping I prefer to know almost all the do's and don't's of antkeeping...

It will depend on the state. I know in California even movement between counties was not permitted.

Yes, yes, and yes. It just can't pass over state lines. So if that next county over just happens to be another state, then it's illegal.

(But yeah, states like california, they are really "strict" if you will. However here in Wisconsin not so much.

I am unaware of specific laws in Maryland... but I doubt they would be any different from states like mine.

Check with your local county agricultural agency entomologist.
