Hello! So I am keeping a small colony of C.Consobrinus and they are very quickly filling up their test tube, it's getting a little annoying attempting to feed them, and I feel like when their four pupae eclosed that'll it will be too crowded. So I'm planning on making a nest and outworld for them. Issue is, I don't know where to start. Ytong? Acrylic? Natural? I'm so lost.
So here's some info about them:
Colony of 7 currently, with 4 pupae and 5-6 big larvae.
Housed in a test tube setup.
Large! Queen is probably 20+mm and workers are easily 10+mm.
They are an Australian Camponotus species.
If you have any idea what I should make for them in regards to what, with what, how, and how large. Please leave a reply as I need a solution soon.
I will try and post some photos when I can.

i would say do a natural because you don't have to clean up the area and it allows you to keep the ants in a natural environment i did this with my camponautis pensylvanicus colony

Would there be a way, where I could have a semi-natural setup?
I would like to be able to see into their nest, and watch their progress if possible.
Would a nest of some sort (ytong etc) inside a natural setup work?

Would you consider buying one? Luke Stewart sells 17x10x10cm acrylic outworlds with side port hole to attach test tube into and a top lid on a slider. I's literally ready to use if you need one urgently. I put red reptile sand into mine and use it for my Myrmecia.

I'll look into this stuff. Is there a website? Or is he a seller on Amazon etc?
