1. Location of collection: Simi Valley, CA
2. Date of collection: A Nuptial Flight About Half Way Through June.
3. Habitat of collection: Sub-Urban Garden
4. Length (from head to gaster): 3 mm.

5: Nest Description: Located Under A Rock

 

Sorry the dead sample I have is covered in cotton fibers.

Wait is it Dolichodarine or Nylanderia? You said it was Nylanderia in chat.

Dolichoderinae is a subfamily, like Myrmicinae, and Formicinae. After you said they almost look like Crematogaster, which is actually in the Myrmicinae subfamily, I figured they might be Nylanderia, which are very small, and have gasters that look similar to those of Crematogaster.
