Myrmecocystus mexicanus?

My friend caught this ant (yellow one at the bottom of page in link) in San Bernardino, CA. Can someone confirm that it is in fact Myrmecocystus mexicanus? I know the pic kinda sucks. Sorry for the lack of info.

The best way to get ants ID'd correctly is to follow the instructions in the pinned topic. It's important to spell the names of things like locations and species correctly. I think it looks like M. mexicanus. When you say San Bernardino, are you talking about the city or the county?
