3. Habitat of collection:                     City sidewalk beside empty, overgrown lot

 

4. Length:                                            8 mm

 

5. Color, hue, pattern and texture:    Reddish Brown, fuzzy light-red and yellowish striped abdomen

Lots of Lasius flying around this area reported this week.  If it is Lasius - could you let me know if it's the parasitic version?

Is it a Lasius?  They're *everywhere* in my neighborhood right now.

Either Lasius alienus, neoniger or pallitarsis. Most likely L. neoniger.
