How long should I expect to wait for my Crematogaster queen to lay eggs?

It usually takes about 1 day to a week, unless she is infertile.

I wonder if it's too late in the year for her to start laying before spring.

I think it is none of my Crematogaster queens are laying and seem to be getting wholly inactive

Proverbs 6:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
    consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
    no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
    and gathers its food at harvest.
