I found a founding queen c. Castaneus. I collected her and her brood. Then, I collected some callow workers and some more pupae from other mature colonies. There are about 9 or 10 workers, but based off of the brood count, the population wilk explode. Today i founs the workers grooming an emerging major. They all seem to be doing well, except for the fact that one of the supermajors keeps spitting some gray pellet out.

Proverbs 6:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
    consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
    no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
    and gathers its food at harvest.

The queen is getting phystrogastric again and has laid about 2 or 3 eggs.

There are now 3 eggs, but something went wrong. They killed and ate the insides of one of the worker's head. I don't know why they did this, and I can also sense escalating aggression- one of the workers was standing over the broodpile while she was sort of launching mandible strikes at other workers. I gave them some honey but they haven't eaten it yet...
