Hi!

I’ve recently caught a Camponotus pennsylvanicus queen. After drinking an ant equivalent of a gallon of honey, she started shooting out eggs like a machine gun (four eggs in a day!). All of my  other Camponotus queens (nearcticus, chromaiodes, variegatus) laid eggs at a slow pace (one every day). Why is my C. pennsylvanicus queen laying eggs at this rate?

Hah, I wish I had the problem of my queens laying eggs too fast.
