Is there anyway you can post the photo on this forum so we don't need to register for another one? I'm very curious what you have found

Do is click on the galleries tab at the top of the page , it's right next to forums. The I create a gallery, and upload the photo into the gallery. Next create a post and insert the gallery link or photograph link. There is a button in the create post screen which allows this. I do not think you can do this On a mobile device I think you need to do it on a laptop or desktop computer but I'm not 100% sure.

It's a polyergus queen I found out, any way of keeping them, I've heard they are social parasites to formica

I would have it ID'd here.
If you've enjoyed using my expertise and identifications, please do not create undue ecological risk by releasing your ants. The environment which we keep our pet insects is alien and oftentimes unsanitary, so ensure that wild populations stay safe by giving your ants the best care you can manage for the rest of their lives, as we must do with any other pet.
Exotic ants are for those who think that vibrant diversity is something you need to pay money to see. It is illegal to transport live ants across state lines.

For the record not a species you would have been able to keep anyway. No way to id from that image, anything is just a WAG.
