Hey all. Would it be better if I froze an insect then feed it to my colony? Or would boiling be better? I'm asking this because sometimes, I find crickets in my backyard, and I'm afraid that they might have mites that can harm my colonies.

Thanks!

Freezing keeps the juices while boiling is like boiling an egg. I would recommend freezing your feeder insects for 2 hours at the least. Good luck!

Tapinoma sessile
