So yesterday my P. imparis were both fed a fruit fly. Today I went to check on them and the one queen colony's gasters were red and my two queen colony still had clear gasters from the non-dyed sugar water they both have. The colony with the red gasters had devoured the fruit fly and it was no longer in site. The clear gaster colony picked at their fruit fly, but later pushed the carcass far away from them. This is just something I found cool that I thought I would share.

Nope, but when I prekilled it by crushing it I noticed a red substance ooze from it. It might have been blood or guts.

Sorry to hear dude! You still have some right? My offer to give you one of mine still stands, though that may be contingent on wether my colonies survive "Brood-pocalypse" or not.

Yup that is totally possible; When I crush my fruit flies to present to my ants, I crush them at the head and the red eyes kind of go everywhere.
