Lately, when trying to log-in on Imgur from mobile, it won't let you and it will refresh the page.
Seems we're having a lot of problems again. I wish people would read the pinned topics.
Yeah, getting old. I'm gonna put it in my signature so I don't have to keep fetching links for people.
My boss has a WatchGuard web blocker that blocks all YouTube, Photobucket, and other web links. If the pictures could be directly posted here on the forum without using links, it'd be nice though that would take up server space. While I realize that all employees are paid for their time, there's not a human that I know of that can just continually do work without taking a mental break like browsing through ant forums such as this one. When the AI bots (Artificial Intelligent robots) takes over in the next 5 - 20 years, I'll be begging my boss for my job back, however. Universal Basic Income probably be enough for me to support my ant addiction.....

There is no reason why people can't use the gallery here to host their pictures.
Beautiful. Thanks. Love that meme too.
A quick note for other new members, until you have actually uploaded pictures to the gallery, when you click on your name as shown in the video "My Gallery" is not one of the options listed. Only once you have an album does it appear in the drop down menu.
I just thought I'd clarify that, it's hard to follow instructions when the option you are told to select is not offered!

Ex igne et in infernum.
Thanks for your remark I thought this option would be available for everybody...
I wasn't meaning to criticise, I worked it out easily enough but I did wonder why I didn't have My Gallery as an option when it was on the instructional video that you had to select the option.
It's just one of those Forum Engine things, I hadn't uploaded to the gallery therefore I had no "My Gallery" so why list it?
At first I thought it a cumbersome system because you can't just upload a pic straight to the thread but apart from starting your post then going 'duh, I forgot to upload the pics first' and opening another tab to upload them it works well for my style. It takes me a long time to cut 100's of pics down to the few actually worth posting, now I can upload the finalists to the gallery and they're there to use as desired in threads rather than searching picture folders on my computer to find them. I'm starting to like the idea very much!
Is there any way to post videos as well? I realized videos are embedded above, is there any way to do it with imgur videos?

I just copy the YouTube link and paste it in the text box, that works. How do you even upload from Youtube?
Is it possible to post pics on mobile devices? I am having trouble with posting them.
How do I do this on Mobile. There’s no my media option. I want my pictures to show up nice and big so people don’t have to click on links and stuff.

Hello,
Here is a photo guide with a video demonstrating the process of embedding images from imgur to Formiculture. Please note, this doesn't work with Photobucket anymore so imgur is probably the way to go.
STEP ONE: Figure out where you want to post the photo.
You don't necessarily have to edit a previous thread to post a photo, I just had a picture I forgot to publish with my addition to the Photography Thread. It works the same way with brand-new threads, too.
STEP TWO: Click 'edit' to add photos to an existing post.
Like I said, you can skip this step if you're publishing a new thread.
STEP THREE: Decide where you want the photo to go.
Self-explanatory, I don't expect most of you to get stuck on this part.
STEP FOUR: Upload the photo to imgur.
There are a few ways to do this. You can pick the photo right out from your drive using the 'browse' function, or simply drag & drop it, which is what I usually do.
STEP FIVE: Copy the photo.
Once the photo as shown up in your feed, you can select it.
Once selected, six different links will be available for you to choose in order to share it. In this case, we want to choose the link titled 'Direct Link'.
There are several ways to copy a photo; you can click the 'copy' button beside the link (which doesn't usually work for me), you can right click the selected link and choose 'copy' from the dropdown menu, or you can press command+C (shortest and easiest in my opinion).
STEP SIX: Embed the photo into your post.
To embed the image, you need to click the little square button in-between the break hyperlink and arrow buttons. It looks like a little picture; it's hard to miss.
Once you've clicked the square button, paste your link into the pop-up window. Once again, there are several ways to paste text; I'd recommend right-clicking the photo and using the dropdown menu, or using command+V.
Once you've pasted it, you can click 'OK' and the photo should pop up right where you wanted it.
Remember to save your changes if you're editing a post (click 'publish' if you're making a new one):
I do hope this helps eliminate confusion regarding posting embedded photos on this forum.

It's funny because I cannot see any of the photos when posted this way. Only can see when embedded directly to formiculture via the gallery.
