Size: Approximately 2-2.5cm

Location: Paralimni, Cyprus

Weather/Temperature: It's  about 26oc at 1am found, no rains or cloudy days either.

Color:  Black

Distinguishing features: Very big!

It's Camponotus for sure, but I'm not entirely sure what species it could be. You may want to compare with Antweb specimens. Are you looking to ID that insect on the right of the first two pictures? If so, we'll need some better ones from different angles.

One of the Camponotus subgenus Tanaemyrmex species of the Eastern Mediterranean.
