This one found  inside the house walking on the couch, went outside to bring the tubes from the car and found also Camponotus one (another ID post)



Size: Approximately 1-1.3cm

Location: Paralimni, Cyprus

Weather/Temperature: It's  about 26oc at 1am found, no rains or cloudy days either.

Color:  Brown and dark brown

That head is way too big for a formica - I'm kind of thinking this is some type of Pheidole or maaaybe Solenopsis.

I suggest taking a picture of her out of the test tube one some flat surface. It's definitely not Formica might be Crematogaster.

I agree, this looks like Crematogaster. I also do agree that this ant's head is awfully large, it may be a socially parasitic Crematogaster species.
