Must be a nest around me.  I have caught 12 queens in the last two days.

They do have their wings, so no idea if they made the flight or just happened to find their way to me immediately.

Welcome to pick up.  Obviously not to take them all as many may be interested.

PS.  You would have to bring your own container.

And, if someone is interested in donating anything, I am interested in tubes to start off some for myself.

What does this mean? Can you explain in better detail?

It's interesting that they've all retained their wings. Where did you find them? Were they wandering around on the ground? And about what time did you pick them up?

Strange that I am not getting notifications to my email.

They are at my office.  In the front, there is an ant colony.  The ground has had new blacktop (not sure if this is why).

At about 10AM to about 2PM, it is very hot outside with the sun beating on that side of the building.  During this time, the queens appear inside on the wall and walking towards the AC vent (cool air).

Note:  NO other ants inside. (meaning only queens while the regular ants are outside).  Strangely, outside the ants are looking for food, etc; however, inside are the queens.  Meh.

I didn't have any tubes, so I ordered 25 yesterday - to arrive today (amazon prime).

I did get empty sauce cups from Taco Time.  Put in a small section of toilet paper for water.  2 in each cup.  Overnight, they are obviously drinking, but also tearing/chewing up the paper.

All but one has wings.

(Wish I could change the topic to show that I am in the Seattle, WA area.)

Awesome find!  If I were able to make it down to Seattle I would love some, but I won't be able to make it down there (i'm in Lynnwood/brier area) for quite some time :(
