I've been lurking around at people's topics about how they've built their own Formicariums and Outworlds. I'm very impressed with the effort people put into it. The information is very helpful for future knowledge, such as design and materials, the do's and don't's.  

 

I couldn't help but notice most members here seem to build their own instead of buying, I will admit I'd be more most likely to build my own worlds as I have done with my Tarantulas, well apart from the vivariums, one or two are modified for humidity reasons and air flow.

 

Anyways the reason why I think a D.I.Y. section might be useful is due to finding members works of art in the one place, instead of going through 50 threads to find info that I need.

 

Hope I don't sound cheeky haha.

I think this is a good idea - I think that once people start to have 5-10+ colonies they start to DIY as it starts getting expensive.

I only have a Queen and eggs, already I'm itching about ideas, but to have 10+ colonies is a whole different level, I'll agree with you on that one.

I agree, this is a great idea! There would be a place to put all those DIY topics Crystals has made, instead f just letting them fall to the dark depths of the "General Ant Keeping" section, not to mention Drew's blacklight and the sort.
