I have noticed several people talking about RIFA (Red Imported Fire Ants, Solenopsis invicta) and wanted to throw some links out I have used to clean up issues with invasive species.

Here in California, you can call:

Free removal if you live in Orange County:

http://www.ocvector.org/rifa.html

CDFA fire ant hotline: 1-888-4FIREANT or 1-888-434-7326

Or for pests in general call Pest Hotline: 1-800-491-1899

More info:

http://ipm.ucanr.edu...TES/pn7487.html

https://www.cdfa.ca....fa_profile.html

More info about RIFA for people who are like John Snow:

https://www.invasive...aphis/fsifa.pdf

Info for all invasive species in US:

https://www.invasive...mals/main.shtml

Since I don't live in other states, not sure what they offer or if their services are free.

However, here is a ton of links for states for you to see if it's offered:

Rifa is in California to stay, I doubt your calls will generate much response.
