1. Location of collection: backyard of my house 

2. Date of collection: June
3. Habitat of collection: I live in a zone surrounded by trees and bushes.
4. Length: between 3-4 mm
5. Coloration: head and thorax are red (dark orange maybe) and gaster is black (first section of the gaster seems to be dark red)
6. Distinguishing characteristics: I guess one petiole, but I'm not completely sure.
7. Anything else distinctive: slow moving most of the time (also the workers move slow between the test tube), they don't seem to like honey like most of the other species do cause they covered with dirt the small honey droplet I put in the test tube. But they enjoyed a fruit fly.
8. Nest description: N/A
 

Sorry for the pictures, I don't have a good macro lens so I had to use a USB microscope and my cell phone to take the pictures.

Are you sure on measurements?

 

This looks a lot like a Solenopsis.

It does look like Soloenopsis.

Yeah, I agree with both of you, but I don't know what kind of Solenopsis it could be this small.

Look's like Monomorium too.

Yeah, I'm thinking that it could be Monomorium pharaonis, what do you think? But they are more reddish instead of yellow as some pages say.

I can't really tell if it's actually Monomorium so I can't help much.

We would need a close picture of the antennae.
