2. Date of collection: 16 July 2017
3. Habitat of collection: High Desert near running water
4. Length (from head to gaster):Approximately 10mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Black
6. Distinguishing characteristics: None
7. Distinguishing behavior: Hanging around a light at night.
8. Nest description: None seen

Hmm, I don't know. But my gut says it's not Formica. Top on is definitely a queen, bottom pic looks like a male.
