No, not even a wasp would take a Pogonomyrmex worker to suffer in the state of Washington.

Is it just me or does that thing look more like a species of hoverfly?

Probably some species of digger wasp.

I managed to get this photo out of one her nearby sisters: dkLlsRW.png

 

Unfortunately, she was so traumatized from the event that nobody has been able to talk to her since.

 

Skeptics claim that the photo is a hoax created by "far-right specists" attempting to stir up bigotry that was stamped out in the majority eons ago. They cite the poor image quality, along with the seeming overlay of multiple images.

 

Wasp-Rights activist Vespula #2,402,231.4 agrees with this stance.

 

We have yet to get a formal response from the queen on the events so far. 

 

I don't own any of these images. The rights go to their respective owners.

Yes, they are very abundant on the eastern side of the Cascades! 


No, not even a wasp would take a Pogonomyrmex worker to suffer in the state of Washington.

 

Better than Idaho! ;)
