I might move to Florida some time, probably no time soon. I wan't to know what ants you people think I should get when I get there.

I think there's a species of nearctic army ant in Florida that exhibits the trailing behavior.  I forget the species.

Also I want to make sure my ants have enough protein so instead of insects could I use meat or seeds?

Trachymyrmex, Odontomachus, Cyphomyrmex, Pseudomyrmex, POGONOMYRMEX BADIUS! Some cool Pheidole, Strumigenys, Nylanderia, Monomorium, Forelius, Dorymyrmex, Aphaenogaster, Camponotus, etc. Just some of the coolest genera in the world. ;) Personally, I think Arizona beats all states in the US ant-wise. :D

Also, Tapinoma melanocephalum, which I think are pretty cool. ;)
