I want to build a large, almost living Formicarium. I'm going to be using a 75 gallon tank and fill it halfway with dirt. If you couldn't tell, I wanna create something similar to AntsCanada's Hacienda del Dorado, but with Prenolepsis imparis ants.

What organisms should I add? Any suggestions are appreciated here.

You can add the creatures Mikey added, like isopods, springtails, millipedes, aphids, worms, beetles maybe. Do you need 75-gallons for winter ants? I don't know how large their colonies get but that is a very large aquarium.

I do know their colonies can reach 4 feet in to the ground, but that is still a fair point.

Dirt in a natural nest does not need to be as deep as the species will naturally dig, but if the colony get's to a very large size then I guess it would be a very pretty setup, Winter ants are pretty in a natural habitat
