They fly in the late spring/early summer.
I'll check that other post, you're probably right about it being different.
Late July we found queens in NJ but they were mostly spoken for by the established super colonies of the forest.

Late June to early August, depending when the average last frosts are. In Maine, it would be in the second half of this time span.
