Lemon Water?

Here the person uses lemon seeds in water to produce the pheromone that causes ants to move, supposedly.
Does this actually work or did the queen just get flooded out?

It's a myth, it doesn't work with all ants. It mostly works only with tropical ants that are used to flooding and it's a reaction to the flooding not to the lemon.

I've actually tried it with that same exact species, Parathechina longicornis. Didn't work, many many times. Proud to say they didn't bite me a single time, they're such a mild species.
