Hello! My name is Scott. I've been turned to ant keeping through people like Mikey Bustos, as I'm sure everyone knows. I've watched him for over a year now and decided to catch my first queens this last week. I want this to be as successful as possible, and I need help doing so. Firstly, I need help identifying the two queens I've found. I'm having issues attaching the pictures, so I'll leave links. One of them, I'm pretty sure is a type of Camponotus, but I haven't a clue on what the second is. I look forward to getting to know some of you, sharing my journey with all of you, and for any help that you might send my way!

Camponotus (maybe?)

For a proper identification request, location, accurate measurements and time of year are utterly essential. There's not too much we can go off of just with pictures.

I can tell you that I don't think either of these are Camponotus. If you live in the South, the first is probably Solenopsis invicta and the second is a queen in the Formicinae subfamily (possibly Brachymyrmex, depending on the size). We will need accurate measurements for both.
