Woops, yeah for some reason I thought he had a presence here, not sure where I made the connection. Ah well, still glad to be here, the atmosphere seems much friendlier than that "other" forum.. =)

I don't have any colonies yet, but I do have 3 Lasius sp. queens with brood in test tubes. Very excited to see them develop and expand though!

I'm almost certain that it is most likely going to be Lasius neoniger, just like every other ID in this forum. I have a journal of my colony!

There are a lot of different Lasius Gaige.

Years ago (mid 1970s) I lived in Lawrence KS, while doing a masters degree there. Saw some good ants, too, and still haven't gotten over them. :)
