Isn't 85 dollars a bit too expensive? It would make sense to charge $85 for a 15 worker colony, but a 5 worker colony should be around $40 or something. I'm not really one to judge, though, because I am pretty new (2 years) to the hobby.

Howell, I'm in Monmouth County but can travel a bit.

$85 seems very reasonable to me, I collected these queens in April and have been caring for them for six months now. I say "5-15" because I have a few colonies to choose from and I also state that I'm negotiable. Message me if you need help pricing or don't understand how to value your time or your animals.

Were you planning on buying or just planning to comment on the cost of things you can't?

The time of year is also a factor as woodpeckers and adult colonies have likely cleared out a lot of the queens of this species trying to start colonies. Furthermore this colony looks like a really good colony to buy. Certainly shop around if you wish to see if someone is selling them cheaper but I don't see $85 being too exorbitant, especially when you account for shipping/personal delivery which should be negotiated.

Uh, I can't buy these anyway. I'm not into any illegal business.

I was just trying to figure out if I'm selling my colonies for too low of a cost. I didn't mean to offend anyone here. Sorry.

LOL! I'm not selling out of state and I know you didn't mean to buy them.

No offense taken by me at all, as stated before this is where I hold the value of my time and my animals and I am always negotiable about pricing. I'd rather have my prices listed at what I value my animals at and not some low fast selling prices that move them into homes that may or may not have done much research about caring for them.
