I cannot upload any pictures for some reason, so please bear with me! The queen, Amelia, has a large selection of eggs, larvae, and pupae right now. Hopefully they will hatch soon...
Proverbs 6:6-8 New International Version (NIV)
6 Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
7 It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
8 yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Her first worker hatched- it is so small and pale! Its exoskeleton is still soft so I will have to wait. She still has a good pile of eggs and larvae and a massive cluster of pupae.

Caught another queen. I'll probably use one colony for a Lasius parasite colony once they get a lot of brood, but so far all good. Amelia's little nanitics go balistic over honey, and look very much like little crazy ants because of their movement.
