I've been trying to reach out to others that are ant keeping or want to start and keeping in my state of Tennessee on a different forum. I'm hoping I might have better luck on this forum :-). Anyway if there is anyone in my state please feel free to message me. Me and a friend are trying to spread the trend of in keeping in our state and are just trying to make more friends.

I'm a Colorado Anter but will admit I like the e-mail train we've got going of just Colorado Anters and then a thread as well. Zero and myself were the only 2 in Colorado last year and now this year we are up to.... 6? Maybe 8? You've taken a step in a good direction by posting on this site!

I have been a member of this site for some months now. I have been looking all over the antscanada Forum and found one person and that was by sheer luck because I accidentally clicked on their name and seen their location. I have already came across one other person in Tennessee right after I made this post so I'm hoping they will message me back. I've been meaning to make a post like this on this website for a couple weeks now but just been putting it off I guess. Hopefully I'll have more luck with this website than the other.

Hey! I've been watching AntsCanada for a few months, and I'm hooked. I'm in middle Tennessee, and would love to be able to start keeping ants! I'm looking for local connections because I have no idea what I'm doing

Yay finally somebody else from Tennessee. I was actually in Middle Tennessee last night picking up a couple Queens from a friend. I've got one other person I know and me and him have become pretty good friends. He lives in Spring Hill. If you want download the app Slack and send me your email and you can join our ant communication that way. It's just me and him as of right now and we are trying to get more people from Tennessee involved. We talk about everything ant related. I'm so excited to meet somebody else finally LOL

Hey!
I've been watching AC pretty heavily recently and I'd absolutely love to get in to ant keeping. I have some aquariums that I've torn down after consolidating to a 55 community tank that I want to do something with.
Unlike almost every other animal I've kept, I understand intimately how important it is to keep local insects only... thus Id love to connect with you guys!
I'll go ahead and grab slack and send y'all a DM! Hope to hear from ya soon

I am new to Nashville and to ant keeping. I am looking for queens and not having much luck if any of you are interested in sharing advice. I am hoping it isn't too late in the year to find some!
Also, I think I know the answer, but have any of you found any AAC/ytong/hebel to make a nest out of?
