5. Color, hue, pattern and texture:  Dark brown abdomen, brown rest of the body

6. Distinguishing characteristics:  - 

7. Distinguishing behavior: Runs on hot sand with up tilted abdomen.

Hi all ant enthusiasts,

I need your  help to ID this queen, can you?

I have six of them, three already layed eggs but three didn't. Suppose they do not like the test tube environment as they keep digging the cotton.

Cataglyphis probably C. nodus. Nice find!
