I want to catch Camponotus, Myrmecocystus, and maybe Odontomachus (the ones that crossed the arizona border)
Ants I am keeping:
none for now, planning on being more active this year
Temnothorax, Pseudomyrmex, and Strumigenys.
Veromessor pergandei
Veromessor andrei
Crematogaster sp.
Pogonomyrmex cf cali and rugosus
Various Pheidole
C. yogi
I want to find formicoxenus. Its the only native genus here that i havent found.
cool! i've never heard of that one.(I've never heard of most species/genus)
Temnothorax, Pseudomyrmex, and Strumigenys.
Pseudomyrmex looks awesome

Camponotus castaneus has been on my list for a while. Also some Crematogaster or Pheidole. And despite it being one of the more plain and beginner-y ants, getting some Lasius wouldn't be bad because I've had not-great luck with them in the past and I'd like to try again.
I don't really know, only true ant goals I have set for this year is to get a fairly large honeypot colony. Maybe I could try to catch some Acromyrmex once I have researched, planned, and when I am equipped to care for Acromyrmex.
Pheidole rhea is my white whale. Seeing Cephalotes rohweri would be cool too, but I don't plan on keeping them. I'm also definitely fixing to get more Atta and another Neivamyrmex colony.
Ponera, Strumigenys, Myrmecocystus, and the only one I actually have a chance of catching, Camponotus.

Ants I have:
1 Formica fusca group- 0 workers
1 Tetramorium immigrans colony-20 workers
1 Dorymyrmex insanus- 1 queen, used to have workers
1 large P. occidentalis colony- around 50 workers, plenty of brood
all cool ants!!! I also want to catch camponotus fragillis and maybe even myrmecocystus

How could I forget Cyphos? Also I want C. yogi but that's not gonna happen.

anything really, I did so bad in 2020.
I did mediocre. I'm just wanting to get any and all Attines this season, but I'm keeping all natives I find.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

camponotus castaneus is on the top of my list as well. they look so awesome!
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
