Wow, is this a Id thread? Are we supposed to guess what you found? Be surprised? Help you? Well guess what if you want us to ID it then you need to post a proper ID thread.

All my colonies are dead.

 Except:

  Pogonomyrmex barbatus

  Pheidole obscurithorax

  Pheidole morens

Doesn't sound quite as agressive, as those. It's probably something more like this.

Sorry friend, but I think you're a bit off the mark. This one is missing the distinctly colored coverts of Pinkomyrmex, and the tarsal length is way off.

I imagine this person will still want their ant identified when they figure out how to do so appropriately. Maybe take it down a notch?

As if nobody comes looking for identifications without the proper details... ;)

If you've enjoyed using my expertise and identifications, please do not create undue ecological risk by releasing your ants. The environment which we keep our pet insects is alien and oftentimes unsanitary, so ensure that wild populations stay safe by giving your ants the best care you can manage for the rest of their lives, as we must do with any other pet.

Exotic ants are for those who think that vibrant diversity is something you need to pay money to see. It is illegal to transport live ants across state lines.

Black lives still matter.

Not sure if you know this or not, but Pinkomyrmex isn't real :P Don't even say, "I know" either, because why else would have you Googled it?

Deductive reasoning has lead me to believe his ant is NOT Brachymyrmex.
