1. Location of collection: Just south of St. Louis
2. Date of collection: 6/10/17
3. Habitat of collection: In the grass next to a small wooded area.
4. Length (from head to gaster): 2.2mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Light orange color
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Two petioles, one pair of noticeable spines
7. Distinguishing behavior: Nothing notable
8. Nest description: They were foraging, so I'm not sure where their nest is.
I'm thinking these are Tetramorium tsuishimae, but they're much lighter in coloration and noticeably smaller than the workers from any of the T. tsushimae nests I've found so far. There's a lot of ant traffic in the area where I caught them, so I figured it might be good to double check here.
